ANNBANK

Annbank Church is changing

Annbank Church was built halfway between the old mining villages of Mossblown and Annbank in 1903 and has served the community well.

Annbank Church is now under going extensive renovation and re-modelling so that our sanctuary becomes a multi-functional space for community and church groups. It is our long term dream to have a community café for all ages to use as a place to chill, spend time with family and friends or indeed receive help and support.

The first phase of the work (completed in 2017) has provided a bright, airy space with the intended flexibility to accommodate both more traditional services and other activities.

There are plans to improve the heating system and install new audio visual equipment in the very near future. In the slightly longer term we intend to establish a new more easily accessible side entrance, kitchen and up-dated toilet facilities.

We host activities most months which raise funds but just as importantly provide opportunities for us to engage with the wider community and develop friendships.

Annbank Sponsored Walk 2018

Annbank Sponsored Walk

Spirits were high when everyone assembled outside the church on June 27th at 7pm. It was a beautiful summer’s evening and the walkers benefitted from the good weather and long daylight. Fun was had by all and it proved to be a very good fundraiser making more than £700. We have a sponsored walk every year. So pencil it in your diary for around the same time next year and come and walk with us.
